2008 Alabama Golden Glove Champions from Fight 4Life are Frank Take (200+) heavy weight division and Kenneth McNeil, Jr., 165-weight division.  They will be advancing to the Nationals.  Dates, location, and time to be announced.

FIGHT 4LIFE FITNESS AND BOXING MINISTRY, INC.

New Location:

Since moving to our new building located at 129 West Valley Avenue, Homewood, AL 35209, we have continued to offer the youth of this community the same quality services.   The location and building is perfect for Fight 4 Life, as most of you know our old building needed a great deal of repairs to be done that was beyond our financial ability.
 
Fight 4Life is always striving to give youth an opportunity to gain self-confidence, love, guidance and practical knowledge necessary for a successful future.  Due to the success of the programs offered here at F4L and the way we have been able to draw teens/adolescents away from street activities that lead to self-destruction and gang activities, we are rapidly gaining respect for our ability to help young people make better decisions.   We are so proud of all the children enrolled in the program the have showed much improvements in all areas, especially in school.  We have received emails and notes from teachers and parents thanking us for the improved changes they have noticed in some of the teens and young children.  Children need to know that someone is willing to go that extra mile for them. 

Thanks to all who came out to help us paint, clean and setup.  Your help is always needed and welcome, whether it is helping with electrical, carpentry or volunteering your time in one or more of the services offered here at F4L.

Hey everyone in case you haven't heard we are on the move. God is truly blessing these young gifted men. Here's to great news from F4L! We are filled with excitement and prayerfully praising our Father God for his precious Love in this place.

May 29-31, 2008 World's Toughman Champion - AUBREY BICKERSTAFF

 Aubrey Bickerstaff of Midfield, AL is the first two time winner of the World's Toughman Title, with a winning record of 17 wins -0 loses.  He is an employee of the City of Birmingham, in the Community Development Department as a Housing Rehabilitation Specialist.  Formation visit memphisboxing.com.

 In their bid to win the title belt of their weight division, Kenneth McNeil, Jr. of Forestdale, AL and LaDareus Young of Homewood, AL fail short to the opposing opponent by a split decision.  We are very proud of all the young men that competed in this National Event that was held in Memphis, Tennessee.  We are now preparing for the 2008 Ringside World's Championship Tournament to be held in Kansas City, MO. 

There were boxers from different parts of the states ( just to name a few Alabama, Arkansas, California, D. C., Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, etc.)
